50% Cotton, 50% Recycled Polyester. Should be pretty moisture wicking.

Only two reviews on Amazon? That's unusual. I'm looking for a new shirt for hiking in the summer. This boasts moisture wicking, but I'm a little sus about the 50/50 blend and the low reviews. My other shirts in similar blend (American, some other off brands) get soggy and stick to my body when it's hot. Can anybody vouch for Columbia or this product?

I've never had a shirt that didn't get soggy and stick to me…the difference being that poly and poly blends dry out a lot quicker. Cotton stays soaked, but feels better when dry. There's no easy answer, but that whole "moisture wicking" angle for UA and some other feels like a lot of marketing hype when the humidity is over 50%. I still tend towards mostly cotton for casual wear, but mostly poly for hiking and running. Not a ton of difference, a lot of it is psychological. Poly "feels" lighter even when it's not.
