Both of orders came like this (see photo):

No original box. Just laptop, charger and cable.
Both laptops have a minor nick or two on the surface. Some minor scratches as well. Screens look good.
Original warranty expired. Purchased in 2022.
24 battery charge cycles on one. I have not checked the other one.

Overall, I am not sure if it is worth it. To each his own, I guess. I will think about if I will return them or not.

I received M1 Pro yesterday. 78 cycles charges, but battery capacity is 87%. Should I keep it or not?

If everything else looks good to you and especially if you mostly use it plugged in, then yes.

Mine arrived today. Screen has minor damage that I can't see if I'm looking straight on, but I know it's there.

More importantly, cycle count is 300 and battery health is 85%. Returning it.

anyone who got bb refurb or openbox make sure to throughly check it. My open box had broken keys and it was too hard to pass on as sometimes it needs replacing the kb mechanism

Cycle count 53 and battery health is 91%. This is my first macbook and I am not sure if this will hold for 4-5 years.

IMO thats a good battery... Seems to be a lot of confusion about cycle count. It quite literally means the amount of times the laptop was nearly dead, then fully charged. 53 full charges in 3+ years is pretty low.

Whelp, guess I was unlucky. Mine has 623 cycle count, 83% health. Along with a tiny crack in the corner of the screen. She's going back. Even at $479, not worth it.

Mine has AppleCare attached to it that can't be transferred as it's set up on a recurring payment from previous owner. Don't know if it's worth the hassle for almost $800 as I wanted my own Apple care. Contemplating return. Also midnight black is a fingerprint magnet to the extreme

I decided to keep one of two m1 Airs I got. It is basically new with just a minor scratch on the bottom. Battery is at 100% with 24 cycles. No other signs of use at all. Plus I finally was able to talk to the right guy at Apple and got a one year Apple warranty reset. Hopefully it will stick. )

Edit: the reset warranty by Apple is not sticking. The next day it resets back to Expired Frown oh, well.
