Just purchased & returned one for my son. Was told there's about 4 left in the country. One in Mayfield heights has some nasty damage. They sent pics before just shipping it out thankfully. Nice employee there found us a better one in Detroit. It had a good ding in the bottom side, and a chunk of paint missing down to the bare wood by the fret board. Son decided it was too much like his HSS Strat, and we returned it. Was otherwise acceptable at that price though.

If anyone wants a nice HH telecaster and doesn't mind waiting for a sale, check out the FMT Telecaster - I posted a deal amazon had a few weeks ago for just $731, and you don't have to worry about beaten up floor stock. This is the thread that has the link to amazon, although I have seen this on sale at others stores before

Tried purchasing one for my son. Japanese made telecaster for $700 new? That would be hard to beat. However, please be aware that evidently GC only has one left in the entire country and it's severely damaged. We canceled the order.

Notable since the GC and MF supply chain policy is to send you a floor model from the nearest GC to you - only not a problem if the model just came out
