There's a big difference between "regret" and "may return to gas". EVs are not for everyone as there are definite cons for some people.

How do you produce electricity? Mighty costly for panels. Also road trips are out of the question/ travel to out of state relatives with children under 4. Can't wait to recharge. This country is missing the infrastructure for these to be practical yet. Also how are people that live in apartments supposed to charge these?

I road trip in my Tesla all the time, with two young kids, it's totally fine. I can drive 250 miles every ~15 minute supercharger visit.

Compare all numbers. $21.23 sounds cheap, but the poster does not clarify if they had to pay dealership fees, acquisition fees and rebate on taxes. These things along with $500 down might add up quickly and make it a bad a deal.

Rule of thumb: At the end of it all, your total cost of lease for 24 months (excluding title registration and taxes to get plates), should not exceed $1250-$1300.

Don't be swayed by lower monthly payments. Always calculate total lease cost to compare apples to apples.
