I had the same thing in 2013-14.
10 year old tech for $30? Not worth it.
With 1080p quality its difficult to read license plates during the day past 20' much less during the night. I'd be surprised if it'll even be able to hold a 64gb card.

I bought this one on the recent primeday: "VIOFO Dash Cam Front A119 Mini 2"
It was $91 on primeday but it's about $98 right now and historically it was around $120-$160ish.
It's 2k video, which is good enough to identify license plates during the day up to around 30-50 feet and can read plates at night up to around 20-25 feet from my approximations.
It's plug and play for the most part, and this is THE dashcam right now for the best bang for your buck for under $100 includes the discrete design, sony starvis 2 sensor with wifi + app connection, bluetooth, up to 512 gb (i think), it also supports parking mode if you buy the hardware kit to hardwire it into your car for continuous parking recording - or can go with the default cigarette lighter adapter into USB (which is included). There are also some minor features which make it amazing: USB-C plug, a quick-slide out to the right for quick takedown of the machine on extremely hot days or if in a sketch neighborhood.
Similar products are not as discrete as a dashcam, and range anywhere from $150-$250, customer service is an issue with the VIOFO brand though, but for the most part these dashcams don't really have a high return rate after the initial new batches from early 2023 and new reviews no longer have the same issues as when it first debuted.
