2020 called and wants it's processor back. Anything more than $200 for an 11th Gen anything is robbery. Don't post this crap.
13/14 gen Intel CPU all have fatal designing defects.
11 gen CPU rocks.

I don't accept calls from 2020, especially after Covid. It's blocked on my phone.

I think ifixit's repair-ability score on this thing is a 1 out of 10. Dont drop it, or think of repairing it.

At least with the newer stuff, they are finally making things easier to service.

Great price and find! Some specs as well but screams 2020 though. Anybody has experience comparing this to the new copilot PC for performance and graphics?
I have a studio with a higher tier gpu but it falls short compared to my asus g16 with its 4060 when using 3D cad software. Also the biggest hiccup is the cpu, 4 cores does feel dated if you are a power user.
On the good side, if your workload is not as heavy I would still get this one just because of its build quality and capabilities as is.

.....11th gen at least be 12 gen there is a huge jump from 11 to 12.
junk these pls but GPU isn't that bad with this form factor is hard to find.

battery will be bad though.
I do like the bottom side vents though makes much more sense than bottom ideally its on sides and top even for vents. makes no sense for it to be on the bottom never was.

I was blown away by this so I had to check. Apparently this i7 is pretty wimpy for the generation, there are other h variants with significantly more cores. But it's still pretty neat that a bottom of the barrel i3 from a year later with half the power completes well on benchmarks with what is being called an i7. Multi core is about 10% slower or so but not at all what you expect from a comparison like this. Btw the cpu is from 2021.
The 11370H was the top mobile chip of that generation (characterized by less cores, less cache, and the full graphics package). The other chips with more cores are desktop chips repackaged into laptop (more cores, more cache, less graphics). That technical distinction carries onto 12, 13, and 14 gen.

Microsoft made a mistake to use the laptop part because by pairing it with dedicated graphics, the full package integrated graphics is completely wasted.

Surface book is not a older version. It's a totally different product line with detachable base.
They were both convertibles with a dGPU. They stopped making the Surface Book right as they started making this, so it was definitely a spiritual successor.

There both are not convertibles. Surface book is a detachable and surface "laptop" studio is a convertible.

You're overcomplicating it for no reason (just to be right maybe). There is no such class as "detachable." Convertible = can be used as a laptop and a tablet. That's the case for both. How the conversion is achieved - Yoga-style, X2-style, SB-style etc. - is irrelevant.

A convertible has a 360-degree hinge and can be used as a laptop or a tablet. A detachable is a Microsoft Surface Pro where the keyboard is removeable.

Yeah that's just nonsense. If you choose to spread misinformation, at least make it logical. Why would anyone even make that distinction? lol
The only requirement for being called a convertible is laptop and tablet mode. That's how terms work. They specify one distinction. You can then specify if it's a swivel convertible, a detachable convertible, a foldable convertible. what have you. One term specifies what it is, another term specifies how it's done, etc.

Nope. It's just the tablet form factor. A detachable has less weight as a tablet and can't use GPU in tablet form. But a convertibl can.

What are you saying? The Surface Book is just a tablet?

No, this particular "detachable" weighs less. Some other "detachable" can weigh more. This particular "detachable" can't use the GPU in tablet form. Some other "detachable" could. You keep creating these arbitrary hard limits with every comment. They don't exist. They're made up, by you. They also make zero sense.

The descriptions are made up by, and agreed upon, by the tech companies and media. If you want to start you own media, get rich like Elon and create your own tech world.

It's simple you can remove the screen of surface book and use it as a tablet and you can't do the same with surface laptop studio which is a spin off of Surface Studio. They are two different product lines and named accordingly.
