I buy Bosch Icon wiper blades when they go on sale on Amazon & they usually last me 3 years before I have to toss them & install a new set. I tried Michelin in past and they would leave streaks after 6 mos.

My personal experience is that the silicone ones don't last much longer. Maybe a bit longer but no more than 2x.

I've seen articles saying that the silicone ones last longer not because they are more resilient, but that their residue makes the surface more hydrophobic (like what RainX treatment does) so that you don't use them as much, provided that the speed is high enough. I did see it work for speed >60mph, but good luck with that in the Appalachian Mountains.

Interesting prospective, I only replace my wiper blades once every two years. I always clean the windshield and before the rainy season start I put rainx on the window. I rarely use the wipers. So it makes sense now why i don't need to replace mine that often.

Toyota owners, don't throw away your OEM wiper blades, instead buy the silicone inserts for under $10 a piece from your nearby dealers and install them.

Wish I would have known that about 8 years ago. I haven't found any replacement as good and almost considered buying them from Toyota again. Thanks for validation.

3 times a year?! I change about every 2-3 years and they're still usable at that point, just streaky
