For people who value their time and peace of mind, you can just pay the check and not worry about inkind? This is slickdeals sir where jumping through hoops is half the fun

Pro tip: You can use multiple rewards per restaurant check. For example, you get a new diner deal from a pop up on a restaurant website via InKind, say it's $15 off $45. You can pay your bill on InKind partially by selecting to pay $45 only. On the next screen, select the $15 off $45 reward offer. Once you have used that, you can pay the rest of the balance using another reward, like a monthly benefit which is usually $10 off $30. Rewards are stackable with gift card balance, but not with InKind cashback balance, which makes this deal even sweeter. I usually stack two rewards per visit. One is from a targeted offer from InKind every month for about four different restaurants. And most of the time, those restaurants also offer a new patron reward on their website. Since I can split a check into multiple payments and I can redeem one reward each payment and pay the rest of the balance after reward redemption per payment with this gift card balance, I don't have to pay anything extra other than tips.

Also, InKind is coded as dining, so tips charged to your card is also eligible for dining category credit card bonus.

On top of that, you can claim cash back on the full bill on Seated (in NYC mostly).

This is so easy though!

It's quicker than paying with a card or cash.

Just type the check number in the app and the bill is paid immediately.

the restaurants that take this seem to change often. I had wanted to use it for Veggie Grill which used to accept this back when it was the Amex offer, but it isn't listed anymore ..

not feelin the other options around OC/SoCal
Agree
There were a couple near me in Studio City, but no where that I'd really go aside from Tacos 1986.
Would have been worth it for Veggie Grill

I just got a pop up for a local restaurant for $50 off a $100 or more bill. Does that mean if I get a $100 gift card that I can use both the coupon and the gift card at the same time (i.e. if I have a $100 bill before tax that the $50 off $100 coupon will apply and then I pay balance of food bill with $50 of my gift card credit? If so, that's 75% off my meal

Seems most restaurants are in metro areas. Even for NYC, I was intrigued by a restaurant which I frequent and not knowing it has other locations. Unfortunately, upon closer look in to the 4 locations listed, 2 of them are permanently closed and the one I go isn't listed. It seems this will go the ways of Restuarant.com and Dining Advantage... dying out.

Yes. The gift card credit will be on the app that you will pay with.

IIRC, tax counts towards that $100 minimum as well. If you didn't claim that discount already and the pop-up doesn't come back, try incognito mode or clear your cookies

I know. OC/Socal sucks. My sister lives in LA and she has so so many options.

Would you mind sharing the restaurant site that showed you the popup? I'm just curious to see an example of what that pop up looks like. I haven't been able to run into one so far. Thank you!

Yard Bird stopped taking inKind in Denver, 3 weeks ago. The manager said it was corporate decision. I thought she said all of them, but I can only verify the Denver location. It was still showing up in the app and they said they were trying to remove it. I didn't find out until I went to pay. I'm now going to pre call any restaurant I plan to use with inKind to see if they are still taking it as a payment method.

Are restaurants really ok with this payment method? I only ask because I used Groupon a lot a decade ago for restaurants, but it seemed they all hated seeing my Groupon deal.
I get that it was eating away from their profits and only offered to survive, much like their being on DoorDash today. So I'm just curious what the mindset for them is for this.
