Already paid for annual subscription plus it's a hassle to replace/re-mount my outdoor cameras…I have 5-6 ring cameras sound the house. It's a pain to switch.

I've had the Ring Alarm since the very beginning and also grandfathered @$100 a year, but that will end for everybody next year and will double in price in 2025.

I'm seriously considering other brands that actually offer longer recording times and/or SD card support. The 2-minute recording max for Ring is woefully INSUFFICIENT and pretty ridiculous if you ask me. You can miss out on VERY critical security footage with such a short recording limit.

And also higher resolution cameras should at least be offered. Low frame-rate 1080p is just not good enough in 2024 imo.

For people who still use ring. Any reason why you still stick with ring, considering they're 1080p when other brand offer 2k and up?

same here. I'm grandfathered in the $100/yr plan which gives extended warranty. I just processed 2 stick up cams for warranty replacements that most likely got taken out by lightning.

It depends on the sensor. Some 2k cameras are basically 1080p, but others capture 1440p or even higher resolutions.

1440p is 2560 x 1440, so technically it's 2.5k. But I hate the whole 2k, 2.5k, 3k nomenclature because it is stupid and nobody gets it right.
