No actually read the product nutrition. 1200mg is irrelevant. 360mg is the actual omega 3. You're very smart in this lol
I stopped reading at "Some plants are rich in another type of omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic acid, which the body can convert to DHA and EPA"

It's well documented and proven that the body can only convert 1-5% of ala to dha/epa

That article is a joke
I take fish oil as recommended by dr to help cholesterol (help increase HDL and decrease LDLs I think?) and it worked, been several years, and yeah lots of trickery with different brands on what they actually contain (and that changes over time). For the last year or two these are the best I know of for the $: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C8XBCWD5/ , where unlike this Nature's bounty deal, they tell you the amounts per type of Omega 3s, etc. They do the thing where they say 2400mg on the bottle, but that is PER SERVING, which is 2 pills, but even so, the ones I use look to have a bit much than twice as much of the Omega 3s. Also, these go on sale alot, I normally try and pay like $11 per bottle of 120 which happens maybe every couple of months?

No 30% coupon for me. S&S had the same $8.97 coupon as one-time purchase but only one of them applied at checkout.

Don't buy cheap fish oil like this. Contains tons of HEAVY METAL that will harm your health. Search Goggle.

I prefer the Costco version. Better omega, DHA, EPA, per serving

https://www.costco.com/natures-bo...06067.html

Goes on sale from time to time at ~$18-20

Not sure I'm following... I understand that Nature's Bounty is less efficient (i.e. less mg of omega-3 per mg of fish oil), but isn't it still cheaper per mg of Omega-3?

Product #1: Nature's Choice https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BG3KCMZ8/
Cheapest price ever, per Keepa = $14.84
Servings = 60
Omega-3 per serving = 1440 mg
$ per Omega-3 mg = $0.00017

Product #2: Nature's Bounty https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004JO5KYO/
Deal price = $12.05
Servings = 360
Omega-3 per serving = 360 mg
$ per Omega-3 mg = $0.00009

The article does not state to take one over the other. You are taking it that way. It is merely letting the reader know that there are other ways to obtain omega-3's.

The actual fact remains that it is always better to eat actual foods that contain omega-3's than taking these supplements. That actually goes for all supplements.

Also, unless a doctor specifically states for an individual to take these, mostly for cholesterol or other reasons, they are not necessary.

And that's the point of that article, regardless if you are laughing at it or not.
