I bought one of these in the past as returned items. They came beat up, missing parts, broken wires etc.

Two trees was willing to work with me and send me some replacement parts but it was a humongous headache getting it all put back together and working again. I do not recommend

Tried to buy an SP5 from them the last time I saw one of these posts pop up on Slickdeals. They sent me an SP3 instead, then acted like it was a 'mistake' and asked if I'd be willing to keep it anyway. Don't know why I did, but I did -- they dropped the price to under $100 to keep it, so that's something.

It was missing a number of bolts, and had a broken fan mount (for the fan that blows over the stepper drivers). It was very cheap to get going again -- I printed a replacement mount / duct for the stepper drivers, then a mount for a standard Mk8 hotend (which I had on hand) and an adapter that made it MUCH easier to mount / tension the belts. Finally, I threw a Creality glass bed (the one with them little black dots embedded on one side) due to the HORRIFIC taco shape of the stock bed. It's been a pretty decent printer, but it was far smaller than I wanted at the time.

I knew what I was getting into, being an open box / return, so I did not ask TwoTrees to replace any parts -- I wanted a mini project at the time, and that's exactly what I got with that printer. I'm actually kinda thinkin' about trying out the engraver now. Wink

Yes I bought from them too, says 99% new, means absolutely missing that essential 1% parts

It's already challenging enough to figure how to make a new one work, as in quality engravings. This is not for someone who has never used one.

i have a TTS-25, and I've been going back and forth with support sending them videos proving that the laser module did indeed burn out and they should send me a new one. but I'm getting tired of this ping pong match. should I just replace it with a better model for $80?

The 10% off code did better for me than the RTTR code for the 20w and y-axis rollers.

Please forgive my ignorance, but can you use something like this for engraving things like a thermos, or is it only for flat items.

Has anyone made money off of these kinds of items? Not huge on the 3d printing, but I imagine the laser could result in money. Need to find another income source, even if its just a little per month.

I don't know about this particular model, but I know some sainsmart units have an add-on you can get that will do cylinders.

I got a TTS-55 Pro a few months ago, set up was straightforward, seems they learned to just just include all accessories even if not required as mine came with the focus tool for both the 5.5W and the 20W. I did a small test and it worked fine. I set mine up on a 2'x2' piece of tile that is as close to flat as possible. I want to get the honeycomb base, but hard to justify $53 when I paid around $100 for the machine.
