From my personal experience, whatever you order using the promotional credit if it's damaged or not delivered, amazon didn't give me an option to get replacement and they just issued the refund for whatever I charged from my card. And this happened 2 times. So, I suggest buying whatever you are buying if the price is good enough without credit. If credit works later, it's a plus. so Good luck.

The past two times I've used promotional credit, the item I ordered never even made it past the "preparing to ship" stage. Then it switched to unable to be delivered, with of course them keeping promo portion of the refund. All automatically, without me ever even doing anything.

Sometimes they don't even do that. Have to ask manually for the credit. Didn't used to track thinking it will come automatically but someone on SD shared this and I realized I didn't get credit too. Cc added it immediately but Amazon started doing shady stuff.

Yes. The last few years I've had lots more trouble with amazon and them being defensive if something happens or taking a lot longer to resolve issues. I understand people might scam but if they have history, sure. However if I get 1 out of 30 deliveries having an issues, is it really hard to believe it happened? Also them canceling my S&S order because I wanted it sooner and replacing the order with a full price version instead of the 40% off I got first was really scummy.
