I got this or a very similar fan on the last deal.
Set up was typical, fan noise is typical maybe even a little less noise than what it replaced.
Airflow is good and the remote offers several options for speed and a reverse button.
The light is terrible in my opinion. It functions fine but feels very dim for the size. I did not check LED density when putting it up but I would imagine is isn't very dense given how little light this thing puts off.
I have a Fanimation fan with the same remote and that is my least favorite most chaotic unresponsive fan that turns on and off randomly to different modes all day long. My other Fanimation fans indoor and outdoor are the best, Covert model 64".

Man tempted. Have 2 original to the house fans from 1996 that I think on their last legs. Light doesn't matter to me the ones now don't have lights anyways.

For my use case I would by this fan again.
A few reviews mentions "clicking" noise on the 3 blade version. Did you have the same experience with that?
I really like the 68" fan. It has pretty good reviews on Amazon. I found a video about the 68" that was shot on a potato. I guess I'll try to reuse my downrod on this fan. Both fans listed are pretty big. Amazon has pictures of the 68" installed in somebody's room. These fans and I think most new fans are controlled fully by the remote. You can switch them on/off with the switch but the remote controls everything. I'm alright with that. NO LIGHTS ON THE 68" and WEAK LIGHTS ON 72"
Here I go again.

Do I have to get the Westinghouse brand downrod or any brand as long as it's 3/4-inch ID (what does ID means?)?
