I would rather pay full price in person to ensure I get a proper portion size!

If it's not too busy do your mobile order at the restaurant and just tell them you're picking it up. Then just watch them prepare it.

If a burrito is over $10 it should come with free guacamole if you want it. These places are now nickel and diming the customer for everything now. Actually I should rephrase that and say "dollaring and five dollaring the customer for everything now." My bad. I really think this next recession is going to be a deep and long one. Everyone has their heads in the sand just like with dot com bubble and the housing crisis.

I immediately had the same thought when I read app/online orders only.

I ordered two chicken bowl the other day with extra chicken and queso. The total came to $32.01. I almost wanted to ask them to take the chicken and queso back! Smilie

I dont understand how anyone pays extra for Queso its nothing special, when we cater Chiptole rarely anyone even touches it....

Chipotle quality has gone way downhill the past couple years.

First, I didn't know they charge extra for it. Secondly, I have never tried it, so I asked for some. The worst part, I have never seen queso there before, at least I don't remember.shake head

Been around for a few years now, I always pass on it and guac cause yes both are extra. Qudoba has both for free or at least did, not sure how many of those around anymore.

Chipotle sends me a free guac coupon every week through the app.

They think guac is gold, its not worth the overpriced Chipotle, especially since one burrito no longer fills me up but back in the day I would eat half and save the other half for later because the portions were better for grown adults.

Avacados are one of the most expensive fruits you can put on a salad, sandwich, burger or burrito. Making guacamole is time consuming and requires labor at Chiptole. Some of the busiest chiptole's like in new york and San Francisco...they have to hire a person just to make guacamole all day long. They make it fresh and on site.

It's not like opening a bag of lettuce and dumping it in a tray. Bad take.
Qdoba's guac is more or less the same as Chipotle's and it has been free for as long as I can remember. Chipotle achieved strong brand loyalty and has gotten away with charging a pretty penny for extras for a long time now, but it's not like free guac is prohibitive for the business model, as Qdoba demonstrates.
