Apple doesn't have any TV shows in 4K AFAIK. Game of Thrones has been available in 4K for years from Vudu but it remains HD on Apple

Distributors have not made UHD shows available on these platforms, so it's really a craps shoot if they will ever be available and if they will be upgraded when they are. But to your point Apple probably gives the best chance of the upgrade happening, but I would definitely buy these things with the understanding it may never be upgraded to UHD.

While this is a good deal, I will just wait for the 4K release - which is coming up on 9/24/24 for the physical release. Expect the digital to drop later.

This sounds more like Apple's policy on MA (Movies Anywhere) films. Unfortunately the MA program is only for movies, no TV shows are included...

FYI, Apple's policy is not specific for MA films, it is for all movies purchased from them including non MA studios like Paramount and Lionsgate.
