Love the specs, wish it indicated if it was touch screen.

The "AI laptops" are around 5-12x more expensive.

These should be compared to anything with a similar price tag. Especially other refurbs available on ebay et al. As far as new goes, 7520U laptops still appear on SD at $270 and up.
The main idea is far too many low end sku's are competing to be recommoditized. At some point, a laptop that cant do 4k video(external display) well should be obsolete by now. Laptops with 720p screens are obsolete. Laptops with sata drives... you get the point.

We've purchased many used computers from FedEx Recycling (aka "Dell Refurbished").

Desktops have all been great because they are generally not handled. Laptop experiences have been a total gamble depending on who owned them (company, department, individual). We've had failures - some on-arrival, some several months later.

The Latitude 5410 and 5411 have been the WORST deliverables. These GRADE-A purchases turned out to be GRADE-B in appearance (and that's being kind). There are issues with the 5410 and 5411 (search Dell communities, Dell support, Reddit, etc.).

The 5411 should have been recalled. Mass shipments were returned to Dell from I.T. departments because of the faulty design - they stuck a hot-running chip in a previous bad venting design. Dell's "solution" to the overheating is to dramatically scale down the processor's speed, so you're not going to get anywhere near the processor speed that you think you're going to be getting.

Run from the 5410/5411 but some have had exceptions, especially from the FedEx Recycling "promoters".
This was like the time about 12-13 years ago where Dell didn't ground the latitude line we used at Accenture. Users would come in, plug in and get a nice old school static screen (like the olden days where you'd change to a channel that wasn't there). Thousands of these laptops. We did motherboard after motherboard replacement until Dell finally fixed the issue with a small plastic ring around the DC input jack.

Honestly I'd not give Dell money and shop somewhere else in the case of laptops.

I would also like to comment/add that it looks like these laptops are running on windows 10, I don't know if they can be updated to windows 11, but they will no longer be supporting window 10 by November, any more information would help the community

Ordered a 5411 for $200. 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 1080p screen. Grade A. Looks brand new. Some light scratches on the bottom plate. Keyboard looks brand new, no wear whatsoever. Battery wear at 3% according to Hwinfo64. Came with Windows 10. Upgraded to Windows 11 with no issue. Great deal.

Just wanted to provide my experience as many people post stories of getting trashed laptops that don't match up with the refurbishment grade.

How did you get a 5411 for $200? Lowest I've seen them listed since I started looking at these was $579 before the 50% off (or $599 for the model you listed).

Are you confusing a different model number maybe? I see them on the website still for $379 before the coupon. The same spec I ordered.

EDIT: I ordered mine almost 2 weeks ago and it looks like the 5411 coupon expired. They only have the 5410 coupon code now.

I have got 2 laptops from them. (Third one they shipped back as no one was at home they don't give you an option to pick it up from DHL.

The 5XXX- i5-10th gen- B grade was almost new. No scratches, No issues whatsoever.
Got it for around 250

The 7xxx -i7 10th gen- Grade A.. Showed low battery life (older post had the details on how to check that) and speaker had sound issues. And a sticker on the front to hide caches (which I was ok with). Got it for around 200.

Customer support it top notch. Provided many options. I chose to get new battery, and speakers. i replaced them my self.

Processor cooling pad/ fan had a lot of dust accumulation. I cleaned it. That stopped the fan noise. Changed the cooling paste as well. So that might have helped. After this it as been working perfectly. I am very happy with the purchase. It has touch screen, back lit keyboard and everything.

I would highly recommend getting a Dell refurbished if you get a good deal. Juat make sure you check everything as soon as you get the laptop and raise a ticket in case if there is an issue. Also be available at home, when they are coming out for the delivery.

All these are Windows 10 Pro, Any idea that these can upgrade to 11 Pro?

Yes. Anything with an 8th gen or higher Intel CPU can be upgraded to Windows 11.

The Dell Grades from FedEx /DFS is meaningless.
Its cheap for a reason.
These are actually certified used (under 80% battery health/damage parts/high mileage ) , some in new like condition (over 95% battery, extremely low mileage).

The Grades from Dell Official Outlets is much better starting at $600 for latitude.

Mine 5410 was a grade A and showed up with keys that operate inconsistently. I emailed them and they offered to send me a new keyboard to put in myself or a 35 dollar refund. Overall clean machine but I don't think I would gamble again.

I don't see any touch screen option.
My 5420 just died out of nowhere.
