Lenovo is definitely a better company. ASUS has been screwing customers on warranty repairs lately.

Legion also has some really good cooling, just overall a solid design for gaming PC. Not saying ASUS is bad, actually I've had good luck with ASUS products in the past. As far as I know, their ASUS engineers and product team are solid, it's just their upper management bean counters who decided to save a few bucks by screwing over their customers.

You can always disable the dGPU. There is no downside to having one. (aside from the higher price of course)

Anyone have any input between this and the deal yesterday on the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 Laptop for $1599? I understand the screen difference (QHD 16" here and Asus OLED 14"). Other spec wise seems comparable (32GB ram, 1TB HD, 4070 card). Aside from being less money and less portable, is there any advantage on this particular laptop?

the CPU is different, the g14 has only 8 cores while the legion has 16 cores with more l3 cache. on the other hand, although both have a 4070, the g14 is only providing 80ish watts for it, while the legion's 4070 is 140watts.

Sup Dr.Wajahat, thanks for always posting these deals.

I recently purchased the M18 with 7945HX / 7900M open box for $1400.

The only downside is the screen resolution being a little blurry.

Do you recommend this over the M18? For me most important thing is cpu and they both have the same beefy 16C 7945HX

No, the fact that it's a gaming laptop prevents some important IDEs to be installed to code...

Yes, it's a very good laptop! I have a similar one from a couple of years and the build quality is great, you can probably expand the RAM and have 2 SSDs, and it's not super thin so cooling is fine.

Does anyone know how noisy this one is? My friend's Lenovo sounds like a jet engine.

Still so upset that I missed the MSI 13950HX +4080 laptop for $1,249.99 this morning…

The 7945HX has a loser iGPU that's only good for debugging though
