Edit: thought this was a single, ignore previous edit. I just ordered this for 1-2 bucks more yesterday, funny as hell seeing that product of all things posted here. Small world!

And yeah what's up with them refusing to sell the 9in blade in stores? The damn edger is a 9in model, I dont get it. Mind boggling decision.

I recently got this and it works fantastically. $17.90 for ten!
Recommend. Blades are not bent or warped. No vibration when in use.

VIRTIONZ 10PK Rotary Edger Blade 6477 (7-3/4" x 2") 1'' Hole (3/32'' Thick) fits STIHL EGO RYOBI Husqvarna Oregon Black Powder Coated Heat Treated https://a.co/d/3ejh0PX
This is not at all the same item and will signicantly decrease the performance and life of a Ryobi 9in edger per blade. You're already starting 1.25in short. There's some context to OP's post that needs to be understood:

1. Ryobi's edgers in most stores are 9in blades
2. Ryobi's replacement blades in stores are 8 inches for some stupid reason
3. Ryobi's edgers are set up in a way where they dont go quite as deep as your average gas powered one, which means they need larger blades to start with. It's just a byproduct of the distance between the center of the wheel and the center of the blade shaft.

So right off the bat, dude's looking for a 9in blade and its not really negotiable, and smaller blades defeat the entire purpose of his search and frustration.

Agree with the OP. I have bought these twice now and found that they are a good replacement for the elusive OEM version.

How often do you find that you need to replace the blade? I've had mine for about 3-4 months now with normal use.

I just got one of these packs last week and swapped my OEM blade finally. I probably got 10 uses out of it on the perimeter of 6k sqft of lawn divided by a driveway. Kinda hard to give a true gauge of usage but it's about what I'd expect considering you're just basically chewing them up at all times as you go, as it grinds against the sidewalk and whatnot. I'm also not kind to them haha.

Haven't used them, but 5 for $20 is better than 3 for $14, so might want to check these out:

They wear down until they're too short to effectively cut anything, at least that's how traditional edger blades work.

As the other poster pointed out, it's a judgment call based on how long the blades are / how much material has worn off. They shorten more and more until they basically are unusable.

I let mine go maybe 3/4" weardown on each end before I call it quits and replace it.

My biggest issue with my edger is it getting caked up with dirt every 10-20' or so. How do you guys deal with that? Most frustrating part of using it.

Adjust the cut height, you are going wayyy too deep if you are clogging up with dirt that fast.

I didn't even know I could do that. Always used a trimmer before I got this thing and didn't bother playing with it. Just started cutting.
