But how do you like oled as a monitor, I hear it's not great for text?
It is noticeably worse at first, but you get used to it. I had a first gen oled monitor, then updated to second gen. Second gen is better but both times I just got used to it after a few days.
I would never buy a 'fair' condition TV or monitor from BB
Even 'Good' I wouldn't touch - I tried it recently with a Samsung Galaxy G8 OLED and it was missing the stand, the VESA mount adapter and the screws. Research led me to many other people who've had similar problems with essential parts missing even on 'good' condition that are not supposed to be missing anything beyond non-essential parts and accessories.
I *might* try 'excellent' but that's as low as I'd go with monitors/TVs from BB

I agree and would normally only buy a new TV, but this only weighs 30lb and is readily manipulated by one person. So it may be worth taking a chance for over half off, depending where your BB is and how much your time is worth.
I did buy an excellent unit. I will report how it looks after setting up including hour of use counter
Great condition. Screen was dirty but not scratched, Yellow sticker with power consumption still at the screen . Remote control, base , bag with accessories, all brand new. I need to find an old Sony remote control lo access the service menu and check the ON time..
So far so good. Good luck finding an Excellent unit rear you..

I bought fair condition unit few weeks back when price was around $566. It came with original box, stand and all accessories. Screen was flawless without any scratches or damage it still had the yellow sticker on it. Was missing remote but Best Buy gave me a Sony remote from another tv. Went home and set it up and checked in the service menu and it was probably never used and had 1 hour on the timer. The only issue was one of the screw on the stand was stripped which I took care of. All in all it was a great deal. I bought Sony backlit remote (part number RMF TX 9000) from eBay for $14

nice, did you exam the tv at the store and just ask them for a remote?

I've bought many fair TVs from BB. Sure they are missing accessories but the screens themselves were flawless.

Yes I examined it at store. They opened it for me, turned it on and also cleaned dust off the screen. I asked them if I could borrow a remote and they had no problem giving me the remote from another tv. In this case it should have been marked as excellent condition but for some reason it was marked as fair and worked to my advantage.
