Can you link to *exactly* what you got?
There's only two: the TX900U

https://www.ebay.com/itm/16590022...media=COPY

or the TX310P

https://www.ebay.com/itm/31449358...media=COPY

My bet would be on the TX900U as that is what all the pictures of the TV show.

I would never buy a 'fair' condition TV or monitor from BB
Even 'Good' I wouldn't touch - I tried it recently with a Samsung Galaxy G8 OLED and it was missing the stand, the VESA mount adapter and the screws. Research led me to many other people who've had similar problems with essential parts missing even on 'good' condition that are not supposed to be missing anything beyond non-essential parts and accessories.
I *might* try 'excellent' but that's as low as I'd go with monitors/TVs from BB
I literally just had a recent similar experience buying a "good" condition TV at Bestbuy on Sunday. I requested pickup and after they loaded it I asked the associate about the remote to ensure it was included and they said it only came with a power plug. No remote and no stand. Had I not asked they would not have disclosed.

I just purchased a 'good' condition one and went a local Best Buy. It has no box, remote and stand with plastic wrap. I felt it must be display one, not returned from customer and canceled my order.

I got mine it's perfect. It didn't come with the stand or the cord covers but I'm gonna turn it into a monitor anyhow so I have a special stand that's on the way! Perfect perfection

LG c2 42" here. Text at 4k looks perfect, what are you talking about?
Define perfect? From what distance? With what font size?

27" at 5k looks perfect to me; I hate 4k on 32", let alone even larger displays with the same resolution

To each their own, but not caring about pixel density has nothing to do with whether it's real and present.

OLED has nothing to do with it; OLED is as good at it gets.

Anyone have experience dealing with Geek Squad? Debating whether or not to get it with this.

their grades are all over, during Rog ally sale my first one was excellent it came in a generic laptop box heavily scratched and the plastic was dented from the previous owner, returned it and bought fair, came mint in the original box with accessories unopened and warranty started 5 days before purchasing it
Yeah I think it's still worth the attempt, depending on the discount you get.

You need a Sony remote with number keypad. When the TV is off hit: Display, 5, Volume plus then the power button and it enters service menu. The TV then boots the service menu. A blue box will appear and you want to scroll down to Self Diagnosis. It's the second option. Hit enter and at the bottom of that screen you will see a sequence of three numbers. The first is total power on hours, the second is system boot count and the third is total panel hours.
Thanks for the info. I tried it on the Bravia my parents sold me and it wouldn't stop scrolling through that menu. Had to factory reset, don't know how many hours it has, but it's running a lot quicker.

went to pick up a fair condition. It was a display unit missing everything. I didn't want to risk it and did not pick up. And there are a bunch of open box TVs wrapped in bubble sheets. Bestbuy just replaced all the new display units for sure.

At 42", most people are better off getting a C3 or something so they can use it for all their consoles, gaming PCs, etc., due to the limited number of HDMI 2.1 ports to support 120hz

I bought an "excellent" condition Sonos Five. It was supposed to be in original packaging, but it just shipped in a regular box with one layer of bubble wrap. I don't trust online open box, but might be worth it if you can see it in person, get them to power it on and really take a look.

Almost definitely display models, they usually mount the OLEDs

See this is my problem with BB and their grading - I can see where they could argue that they don't consider the remote 'essential' so it being missing would be fine, but a stand is essential parts for a monitor or TV as its needed to use the device unless you're mounting to wall or VESA.
Missing stands and hardware for the stands should automatically put monitors/TVs in the 'fair' grading that just says it may be missing parts or accessories; not the 'good' grading that says may be missing non essential parts and accessories.
