I've had one for years when it was just originally the Roku soundbar. I have it connected to the sub and 4 other speakers also. Alone.... It's a soundbar with a 4k Roku built in. I just use it as a passthrough for audio for my Google tv and it's worked fine going on 5 years. Again, I've never used it alone but it would be at least better than tv built in speakers. As a center channel it works amazing.

I've had this for a little less than 3 years... great soundbar for a small room, but the Roku interface basically stopped working for me a little over a year ago. Crashes basically any time I try to open an app now. I do not recommend if you're planning on using the Roku interface.

Interested. Saving this deal to wait for people to weigh in on how the audio is and how price is. So close to BF/CM so would it be better to wait or is this price the best we typically see?

I saw that too and ordered one.

What concerns me is:

1) The StreamBar Pro was removed from the Roku website

2) The 25% price reduction probably means a NEW StreamBar is coming soon to replace it

So I'm not sure that I should have bought the StreamBar Pro today. I still bought it anyway.

I have a used one of these I picked up with the sub and think it's a decent soundbar, $130 can make sense if you need an updated streamer and are happy with just a bar. It's decent for a soundbar, better than most of the $100 or less cheapies that come around a lot. Not as hollow sounding as many of the cheap bars I've heard when used without a sub. Streaming works fine just like all the other rokus I have. They recently added a row of ads on top but you can disable them, and it does help with the initial responsiveness.

The main issue I have is the compatible sub runs around $200, it's a 10" and is great for a soundbar sub but not so great for a $200 standalone 10" sub. It does sound good enough up to medium volumes but I think most affordable 10" subs that get posted here outperform it, and the common ~$200 12" sub deals completely stomp it.

So for the bar and sub you're around $300 and that opens a lot of options up for good soundbar kits or going full standalone streamer/bar/sub.

Also the pro is just bigger than the regular streambar. Same 4 driver arrangement. The regular one is pretty compact and may look a little goofy under a big tv, or may be an advantage for your setup. As the other poster said these were released in 2021 so they are due for an update, even it it's just to the streaming section.

Does the pro by itself output L/C/R?

For wired ethernet, would any generic ethernet adapter work?

Question - how does the sub connect to the sound bar? All wireless (save power cord) on the sub?
I'm curious if the rebadged/reworked ONN branded subs work with the bar as I've seen those on sale at WM

I have this bar and the ONN sub! Works great and sounds great. Connects wireless to the soundbar so just need to plug it into the wall for power.

I also have 2 Roku speakers that connect the same way. Waiting for a deal on those to add two more!

Not sure on the L/C/R standalone as I use it with the wireless surround speakers. Sound is good enough for 95% of population. Way better than tv speakers but it's by not audiophile gear. I could care less though as it was cheap and easy to hookup a whole surround system without running wires.

I have tried a few Ethernet > USB adapters and they failed over time. The streambar connects at 10/100 and for me the device works far better over WiFi. I prefer hardwired on devices but for me it's not worth messing with on this device.

Oh, I forgot about the onn version of the sub, sure looks to be the exact same thing with an onn logo slapped on it. If you can grab one of those on the cheap that would be great.

For the other poster, the sub/surrounds need to be from the roku ecosystem. I forgot about the onn options.

Incorrect. Pro has 4 x 2.5" drivers vs 1.9"

I have this and have no complaints. Even though my TV was already a Roku TV, it's still a great device since TVs these days have such terrible built in speakers. It's very easy to add additional speakers to it.
