As somebody that's used smaller privacy tents, there is a massive difference between the GigaTent, at 72x40x40 inches, and this tent, which is 87x54x54 inches, particularly for a tall person. Overall this one is over twice the size. It's problematic as a bathroom tent; and even more problematic for showers.

Beyond the size, there's no ventilation in the tent you mentioned. This turns it into an oven in even moderate temperatures, and we won't talk about odors. The removable rainfly gives the option for even more ventilation. No floor in the tent you link, which means if you use it for showering it's going to be muddy. Other than that, you have no storage, no towel bar, and likely worse quality.

We originally bought exactly the Gigatent you suggested. While it worked (barely), it wasn't nice to use, and we ultimately gave it away and bought something better. I can't vouch for the specific one in this deal, but it's a wildly different product. Personally I'd say something better is easily worth the extra $13.

These are great for changing into my superhero costume when there's no phone booths around.

Not a good price. There is a GigaTent pop up changing room for ~$25 online, the 5 gallon solar shower is like $12 at walmart.

~$37 for both.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you think this will work horizontally? I'm gonna get a few for Mondegreen and have a haulaway/cleaning service for passed-out wooks

I didn't think about this, but other than when brutally could, this would be a nice alternative to a Class B van instead of wasting permanent room for a dedicated bathroom.

Yes. We used one with our teardrop even though it had a permanent bathroom because the teardrops bathroom was so small. Wife doesn't want the teardrop any more so I'm thinking about scaling back to Tesla + this + 12V fridge.

I can think of a few conditions this might not be ideal (cold, hot, windy, rainy)... this comes from a person who goes to the bathroom behind a tree (all I really need is something for those pesky mosquitos who feast on me) Wink

Buy your wife a trowel, get a nice sized tent and you're done. And perhaps a subscription to some good mosquito spray. Personally, I use a Yeti bag cooler and freeze a gallon and a 1/2 gallon jug of water, that lasts 4-5 days in heat. All my meat is marinated and frozen in separate freezer baggies beforehand. Low maintenance, low cost, little storage space required.

If this tent is actually rated for a 5-gal sun shower being hung from it, then it's a good deal.

The $37 GigaTent would be hard pressed to support a lantern, let along 5 gallons of water.

My generator has a CO detector on it. It would shut off in this because it's extremely sensitive. If I have it too close to my house (about 3 ft) but otherwise open air around it and the exhaust is facing the wall of the house, the co sensor triggers and shuts the generator off. I'm guessing that this is not going to have enough ventilation unless maybe you plug a fan in and put it in there to suck the exhaust out.
