I had an x570 Asus Prime Pro board, with an Asus 6700 xt video card. The heat from the card turned the lever to pull the card super brittle over time, and when i went to pull it to RMA the board over dead USB issues, and the video card for black screening/game crashing, the lever cracked, and i couldn't get the card without removing the lever.
I documented the issues, sent both in for RMA, Got the card replaced, but they refused to RMA the board because of the lever. Even though i documented the issues and sent them pictures, and politely reminded them that the lever was due to a design flaw due to using cheap plastic, they blamed me. My last 3 computers I've built have not had an Asus part in them.

With all the negative publicity ASUS is getting on their customer service 😬
But gives people with Intel a chance to abandon ship cheaply. Man think back 10-20 years and you'd never think Asus and Intel would be dirty words right now.

Your not kidding intel used to equal stability. I built a few Intel machines with Intel boards, the reason was stability.
I got this and never got wifi to work or even show up. Turned out the m2 socket under wifi shield was cracked. I never could get ASUS to not blame me since my first thought was to see if module came loose during shipping and I took the shield module off.
I wrote the board and ASUS off.

ASUS customer support is horrible. I'm currently having problems with their Prime Z690-P board (Intel) and the first canned response was to download the latest drivers, blah blah blah. After a week of back and forth, the latest tech didnt even read the previous steps and sent me the first original canned response of download/installing the latest drivers. WTF man. It's sad. At one time I wouldnt deal with anyone else but ASUS, but now-a-days I'm starting to avoid any of their products.

Lol 2011 build and I was on a budget. AMD Phenom, Asrock board, Gskill RAM. With the stability I enjoyed with that build, I'm happy these companies earned much better reputation over the years
Now that I'm chasing aesthetics though, I have to be honest and admit ASUS boards (particularly on the Intel side too) are on the forefront esp with their BTF "innovation"

I've been on the asrock bandwagon since the beginning. They put out some good stuff.

ASUS turned into anti-consumer disaster. Will not buy their products until they course correct.
Did my first new build in probably 10 years with roughly the equivalent AM4 board. It was a nightmare dealing with the bios. Had to run wifi while I wait (procrastinate) on running ethernet and it was not stable at all, nor was the system itself under heavy load.
Swapped for an MSI and it's night and day difference. I bought the ASUS without doing much research and yeah, it's not the same company anymore.
