How did they ever get away with charging $150 for this? For me, all of the value would be in the ability for it to be a "feed stand", because moving plywood around a small shop/garage is easy enough by centering it into a 2x4 cradle with a rope attached.

But $49 is certainly a much more acceptable price for those who need it!

Nevermind: looking at the reviews on Amazon [amazon.com] and Rockler [rockler.com], steer clear. Not only does this thing not steer when loaded, but apparently it's often a complete lemon with serious common defects and questionable structural stability even when not arriving broken.

Originally was going to say: I could see a LOT of potential value in being able to use this as both, together, if using a table saw. Wheel it over with the sheet on it, tilt it back, and then have it be a stable feed stand for that sheet? That's really nice, if you're working alone.

Personally I cut sheets with a track saw, but I'd get this in a heartbeat at this price to not have to try to maneuver sheets from a carrier onto a stand, if all my work was done on a table saw.

I was wondering if it was useful for handling drywall panels and found that it's listed in Drywall Tools / Drywall Lifts and Panel Carriers section, so the answer is probably yes. Got 1 with a 10% coupon.

Same same, circular saw with a 4' level clamped to the sheet good makes a sufficiently good track to cut down a panel.

Recently I need several 19" and 24" cuts (the size of Frigidaire and LG AC units respectively… window stands) and just a circular saw gave me a clean edge to work with to finish up on the table saw as needed.

FYI… three pieces of scrap wood screwed together (with the middle pushed in about 3") let's you use that sandwich after the first cut of the circular saw to keep the thing level. So you just need one hand to hold the cut off portion as you finish the remainder of your cut. The entire thing doesn't need to go crashing to the ground.

Beware, the one i picked up at lowes had the holes drilled in the wrong spot for one of the pieces, making it impossible to assemble. Bora didnt have the piece in stock so i had to return to lowes.

I bought this 4 years ago to make new counter tops. A sheet of 3/4" particle board weighs about 95 pounds. After cutting a sheet down to a 3' x 7" size made the sheet a little bit lighter. Taking that size sheet across a bumpy yard was difficult and caused panel carrier to bend. This panel carrier does not replace a good helper, if you can find one.

Just use a hand truck if you already own one. 😃 A heavy duty one.
