very nice deal if you can get an extra 10% cash back on top of that price...

I'd also recommend the cherry mx keyboard, it's easily $100 better if you're taking the laptop anywhere and not bringing a separate keyboard.

Ordered one a while ago but canceled after seeing it in store. Screen is extremely dim. You can argue that it's bright enough for indoor use, which is true, but it's still a massive compromise on a laptop that costs over $2k and when you compare it to competing models in person it absolutely isnt something to settle for.

I've owned several generations of Dell laptops and they all ended up with regular fan noise and heat issues.

My favorite is a Thinkpad (15.6" 4K anti-reflective 60 Hz OLED). The fans rarely turn on. I'm waiting for 120 Hz external monitor support.

What are you exactly going to compare this with? There's no other 4090 laptop with the current Gen processor remotely close to this price.
Even the 13th Gen laptops with 4090 don't drop this low, except for HP Omen, let alone one with the maxed out mobile Intel Ultra.

300-350 nits is fine unless you're playing next to a windows or out in the ground. You're getting everything else almost top notch, display is the only compromise, sorta.

It's too much $$ for me. Pass! LMK when it dips below $1.5K. Thanks.

Your thinkpad has almost nothing in common with this gaming machine- apples and oranges

Lack of ethernet port and full SD card slot has got me on the fence vs. all-in.

(not a gamer, but all other specs are very much up my alley for my needs)

I can't think of many reasons a non-gamer would care much about an Ethernet port, nor why anyone would care about a full sized SD card port, but maybe you have some valid reasons, but since you did not mention what they are, we can't really help you.

On a $2000+ purchase I generally want better than "fine", however I don't think Dell even offers a bright screen on any of their gaming laptops. Kind of annoying, at the least.
