People use them to drain hot water tanks.

Even though it's not recommended, people pump gasoline and diesel with it. They purge with water immediately after and it seems fine

Well it's used to transfer water. Maybe your basement flooded and you need to get the water out.

I have this and it's nice but for MY purposes I'd rather have gotten the handheld M12 version.

I'd get it. But my local HD won't let me return batteries that aren't included in kit... The manager said it's "taking advantage of HD"

I am planning to use it to cycle water slide water from the "pool" section to the "slide" section - so the water stays warm for the slide. That is how they do it in water parks. Wonder if I can run an instant water heater in between. I have an immersion transfer pump which goes inside the pool but that is an electric shock danger.

Fantastic if you have a pool and need to winterize or get the pool ready in spring, any need to drain water this makes life quite simple
