I prefer the way it is now then you can see exactly which seats are left open even after you're in the theater

The AMC I usually go to often doesn't even check tickets. My day is one day off. I just know that somehow this would be the time they care to check everything

I thought it was ok and would watch again in a few years. At least way better than MaXXXine... But I feel like all recent releases have been really bad, so maybe my expectations are too low.

Only people who don't prefer assigned seating are those who are jumping theaters. Which is pretty clear, when you walk up and there's people sitting in your seat.

I went today--my AMC has booths in the front where you can print your ticket out so I did that and it came out like a normal ticket with the receipt. They didn't ask for ID.
