You may have seen my name in the dd-wrt forums through the years. II use DD-wrt on a lot of routers.
Checks out Smilie thanks for sharing your experiences and giving feedback in the forums.

I'm waiting for mine to ship, but I also want to see if I can contribute in any way to the open firmware projects

How accurate is the delivery estimate?
It's giving a range of 4 days, need to work out the timing...

If you have the UPS tracking number then go directly to UPS.COM

It has been over one and a half weeks since I placed my order on AMAZON.COM.

According to the UPS website, my package is currently at a UPS facility in a neighboring state.
So it lists one additional day until delivery (via ground shipping service).

It another post, I stated that the subcontractor created a UPS tracking number and my credit card was charged, but they did not hand over the package to UPS until nearly a week later. This shady business practice is not acceptable.

So the delivery estimate that is listed on the AMAZON or WOOT website is the approximate travel time once the shipping carrier gets the package.
How long it takes the merchant to hand off the package to the carrier is a point of contention.

Good luck to all.

The current builds are from a custom branch. Once the support is merged to the Openwrt mainline, you should be able to use the builds and packages from the mainline.
If you're using the nss fork, you'll need to build the firmware and kernel modules from that branch.

Thanks. I bought this router to setup as Wireguard server and Client. Could you tell me if there is any way currently to install Wireguard on it?

Try this to swap

SSH method
You can recover the Linksys stock firmware by using the basic SSH in PuTTy (for Windows®) and use the following commands:

Determining your router's current partition

/usr/sbin/fw_printenv -n boot_part

Booting your router

For Primary Partition: /usr/sbin/fw_setenv boot_part 1 && reboot
For Secondary Partition: /usr/sbin/fw_setenv boot_part 2 && reboot
So I tried, the part to determine which partition I am on works but setenv does not work. Reboot does. I will continue to mess with it. I am sure it can be done.
