i still have a nalgene i bought about 15 years ago. never had a need to replace it lol

The old, translucent HDPE bottles are more flexible and durable, and lighter, but they do tend to hold flavors and scents more than the clear Lexan/Tritan versions. It's all a tradeoff. No surprise the clear bottles are a lot more popular now, especially since they eliminated BPAs from the formula.

(Could be wrong on the details, open to corrections!)

I just flip mine upside down and it fits in most cupholders that way!

Agreed. The amount of water bottles I would've used would be insane. I've had mine for so many years now. Nalgene also has a really awesome warranty if you somehow break it.

Wow, $3.89 for the OG bottle is a few bucks less than I've ever seen it in 25+ years.

We have about a dozen 32oz widemouths…the only problem is that so few car cupholders can handle them. 4th gen Odyssey, no problem!

The more complex prints wear off pretty quickly in the dishwasher, but the bottles are insanely solid. Also don't use heated dry if you put them on the bottom rack, it can melt the lids.

I had the ultralite bottle and had to return since it had a strange and strong chemical like odor to them that would not go away with washes. Just an FIY. Unsure if it was just a bad batch or something.
