I searched on amz and it looks like Platinum brand bands go for under 10$. Not sure if it's a same brand as these though…

What would be the best way to clean a grimy used watch band?

Doubt that's the condition, but if it's silicone then I use dish soap and hot water.

I'll take anything cheaper than the unbelievable prices Apple charges for OEM bands for the ultra 2. Even for Apple, those prices are absurd

Looks like the band is using normal watch band pins to connect to the proprietary Apple Watch connector. Does anyone know if you could use this to add any normal watch bands to an apple watch?

Apple Watch to spring bar adapters are readily available from Amazon [amazon.com], strap vendors, or from other overseas marketplaces like Aliexpress and Temu if you don't want to pay the markup or need them in a hurry. During the sales, a pair of adapters can be had for less than a dollar.

Paying $10 for this strap, and extracting their adapters would work as well, if you have the tool on hand to separate them from the strap.

However, be aware that if you own an Ultra, the contours of its case differ slightly, enough so that many of the adapters sold as fitting "42/44/49mm" might not be a perfect match in terms of shape, never mind color, which has been a struggle from the very first Apple Watch.

The beauty shots of this strap on BB's site illustrate the kind of sloppy fit that's unfortunately not an uncommon trait with such adapters, or those that come bundled even on some expensive straps.

But because they're cheap, and most people don't notice, and wouldn't pay more for a truly well made adapter, the cheap ones basically own the market and are the only kind available.

Some AW accessory makers have commissioned their own adapters for their straps, but those can have issues as well, aesthetically, if not fit wise, like the comically large and ill-proportioned ones Nomad makes for use on their straps.

The original band quality is much better, but yeah, the price is steep. I still use my Series 1 band from 2017 on my Series 7 watch, and it is still holding strong. I wear it every day, and I am active.

The same goes for CCP, which buys your identity for cheap. Your credit cards, address, spending behaviour, etc., belong to CCP.
