Add the fan and the free gift battery to the cart for $59.

After placing the order, within 5 minutes, go back to the order and cancel the free battery. This results in the fan's price is only $26.99+tax. YMMV as I was using an HD Android App, which allowed me to cancel immediately after placing the order, while my friend (used an Iphone app) had to wait for 5-10 minutes for the order to show up.

You can also wait for both items to be delivered and return the battery in-store for the same net price for the fan, or sell the battery. Happy hacking!!!

Edit: thumbdowns all you want. Home Depot has allowed this type of deal/hack for years. If they allow it, I will do it. There is clearly a price attached to each item. A price that HD sets themselves. I did not force them to give me that price.

I got a set of 2 when it was 90. I love these things. Def convenient for me to keep one in my car for some work sites, not ideal for use outside if there's a breeze. But I use it all the time to give my dog a spot to cool down, airing out a room, or helping my super hot laptop from overheating in the corner. I already have tons of batteries and tools from ryobi so it was a no brainer for me. I gave one of the fans as a gift recently so I'll pick one of these up too

This is not hack, it is called indirect theft.
Did you literally create an account today just to say this?

Depends on what setting you using. I don't recall specifically but at max speed when I was cleaning my car, I let this fan dry a wet spot passenger side, probably lasted 2-3 hours on a 2mh battery.

On the lowest setting I think the 4mh battery would last me over a week+ iirc. I would use the battery swap method when I first got it before just directly plugging it in.
Accidentally flooded a sink cabinet and after towel-drying everything I put this fan inside and let it run all night to keep the air flowing. After 10+ hours it was still running on a 4mAh battery.

I can't cancel the battery or even cancel the whole order. I am not sure whether it was paid by gift card or other reasons?

I have 3 of these now. Got 2 of them from this deal a week ago and one last year on a similar deal. Great fan! Very quiet. Love the hybrid option. I actually prefer these to the bucket mister fans because of the hybrid option in case I dont want to run on batteries. Can't beat the price either!

Probably. Don't buy anything with an HD GC if you plan on returning it, even with a receipt. Their third party returns tracking company/service treats all GC purchased item returns as if they're no-receipt GC purchased returns and dings you. Even with receipt, GC purchased items = require DL to return. I used to use my CC rewards for HD GCs when on sale, but naturally, you end up returning. a lot of shit to HD because you're there, buy every size you might need, etc and then return the remaining items next time. Got banned from returning anything for 2+ years, and I didn't return much, just DIY home project stuff, and none of it was open or used.

This is NOT a hack! It's a Feature! This is what we call in the software development world a "feature" and not a bug. If you allow a user to do something, whether it was meant to be allowed or not, it's a feature and therefore the user has 100% the right to do it and I am happy for everyone who can take advantage of this offer since it is allowed by their website/app/system!

Anyone able to cancel on iPhone? When I click the cancel button it shows both items and won't let me select them individually. Also I paid with PayPal if that matters.
