I've had the Fluke18B+ model for many years now, it's performed great. I bring it up because that's also made by Fluke for Chinese markets. It's still built by fluke, but from what I understand, they wanted to keep some separation between US and Chinese markets due to the fear of IP theft. But Fluke would not put their name on a piece of junk, they have to protect their brand.

This doesn't mean there aren't black market knockoffs of the Chinese Flukes, just like there are of the American ones, so still buy from a reputable seller.
