I have taken care of it by the book (oil change, etc) and it has so far not had a single issue, its super quiet compared to everyone elses generator, great on fuel in eco mode, and has enough power to run my entire house.
For the features I needed this was by far the best one to get for the money, as it was a huge jump up to the next nearest competitor so for me it was a great purchase.
I felt like I was taking a risk getting some little known Amazon only store brand, but seeing it now at Sams Club, that is pretty legit.
I cant speak for this model, the customer support, etc just my personal experience. With all the back and forth about how good/bad a brand it is, figured having a legitimate user experience could help.

I do not have either and no familiarity with either brand. Just my cursory look on both.

Plug type is pretty irrelevant you can buy a cheap dog bone adapter either way. Costco one has auto switch to gas though, I'm not sure how I feel about that I'd personally rather never use gas and just used an auto switch over and ran two 40lb propane tanks on my last setup.
Plus so much information out there on brand name inverters in case I ever need to fix or convert to trifuel (which I did to mine).
I bought mine used off of craigslist back in the day for 1,000 bucks. I have an eu3000i. 3000 watts is more than enough to power my whole house. I only need about 1000.
But now im into batteries lol. Im going to get a battery backup system for the house. Easier than any generator.

Word is out that the Generators/inverters will be in proper supply for that sale. Most of the 11000 watt inverters are out of supply at this time.
This one would be a good bet for running everything except an AC unit 2 tons or larger.
My 11000 watt one will run my 2 ton unit with a proper hard start kit with no issues.

AMRAD (USA) does not offer soft start kits. Most of the soft start kits are MIC and have reliability issues. There are very expensive soft start kits that may be made in USA??????
I will get a link to answer your question.

Both will decrease the in-rush amps on startup and make your system last longer. A high-quality soft start kit is not cheap. High quality hard start kits protect your unit also.
Not for multispeed compressors as most new units are variable speed.

BTW/ my 4 ton is an AMRAD standard compacitor and my 2-ton is an AMRAD CPT terminal capacitor. The CPT terminal gives you at least 3 way protection as it is internally protected, fuse wire, etc on the easy start.
I went with a sure thing that works every time. Both my 4 ton and 2 ton have the AMRAD easy start. I wanted to go with a soft start but after months of research I decided to do what I did. My Inverter barely makes a grunt on startup which was my goal for hurricane season.
