Do any merchants ever offer discounted Apple gift cards? As in a discount taken off the purchase price, not a store gift card. I bit at this same deal from Best Buy in the past and it took over a year before I could find anything that was actually worth purchasing to use the gift card. Not complaining about the deal, just curious if there might other options as I haven't seen anything recently.

I don't think so, there may have been some third party sites offering discounted apple gc but very rare. May be best to wait for a Target deal if BB isn't good for you.

Typically around BF there are buy $100 get $15 in Target gc if you can wait.

Closest thing is credit cards offering deals. Discover is offering 15% using your cash back balance right now. Other cards sometimes offer limited time cashback deals that can be applied to purchases at grocery, drug or online stores.

You could always sell the gift card to a site like CardCash. You'd get about 85% of the value back but it's something.
