I have this mic and run it through my Fender Acoustic 100Amp, and I love it. As good as Mics way more expensive.

Yup. Excellent SM58 knockoff, sounds really good. Handling noise is a little worse than an SM58 but at this price it's a steal.

Yes, you'll need an adapter but it will likely cost more than the microphone. This microphone (and most/all stage mics) connects with an XLR cable.

This is the poor man's Shure SM58, I've used and abused dozens of these over the last several years, great throw around mic for drunk karaoke gigs, etc

Have had these for 5+ years paired with Bose S1 Pro. Excellent mic for karaoke. Have taken a ton of abuse getting thrown around and still going strong.

And the Shure SM58 is the poor man's version of the SM7B.

For the average person -- this is an XLR mic, and you'll need equipment that takes that input. If you're fine with that, this style of mic is very directional -- compared to other casual computer mics that are more omnidirectional. In other words, you need to get up close to it -- but it's also very good at rejecting sound that's far away, such as noisy environments.

I own this. It's a steal even at full price. Use it, abuse it, throw it down the stairs. It's going to work.

Anyone know if this is better than all of Behringer's other alternatives?

There are the 84C, 85S, 85A, and 75C that are all around the $14 range right now

I review technology for content creators on my YouTube channel and by far this is the top value xlr mic I recommend (for the money). This Behringer xm8500 is legendary when it comes to price to performance ratio.
