I was really tempted to buy this in the morning. I ask myself if I need another guitar.

Also, note that tuning stability on short scale guitars is iffy

this. electric guitars are superior to various traditional acoustic guitars for youngsters, because they are smaller and easier to handle with smaller arms. if they dig it, they'll be growing more and more into their first electric with every passing year. Pass on the gimmicks the same way we should pass on "pet toys" that appeal only to pet owners and have no appeal to your dog or cat more than a free brown grocery or plastic shopping bag, or a stick that fell off a tree in the backyard.
