I have 2 100ah and one 50ah batteries. After one year of consistent use, the 50ah tested at 19ah. After charging over the weekend, it tested to 30ah. The last time I tested one of my 100ah, it tested to 98ah. I wouldn't exp to get 3000 cycles out of one.

If you want to see the quality inside this battery, watch this video. Yeah it's vertical and that sucks but at least it's mostly informative. I decided to spend my money on another brand.

These are LiFePo4 not lithium ion.

Have you tested if this one has the full 100ah cap it indicating? (or at least close to)

How important is UL listing on these (BMS especially)? It will be in the house in a closet 24/7 , so safety is pretty important.

This battery doesn't even have short circuit protection, good as a fire starter
Is this true?

Short circuit: every car battery or deep cycle battery you own does not have short circuit protection. Every 12V battery with a BMS (like this one) must limit the current, in this case 100A.

UL: the pictures show clear CE markings for CE safety compliance.

Good luck!

Nothing empirical, but I have one of these and get about 1.1kw of AC power out of my inverter. I don't think the crappy renogy inverter i'm using is actually 86% efficient, so likely it's a bit over 100ah. That has been the case for me with all of the cheap LIFEPO4 batteries I've purchased

I wish CE implied safety compliance (similar to UL / ETL / TUV ) but I don't think it is. It's just self-declared EU health etc. statement. You see this on literally every chinese product on Amazon also.

Since the BMS has over-current protection, it makes sense that it is short-circuit safe.. The earlier post about not being short-circuit protected isn't true (assuming the BMS doesn't fail).

So, what's the take on safety of this unit, one review on Amazon showed it burnt. On a boat, but not sure that's relevant. Otherwise cursory youtube reviews seemed good.

If safety is a non-issue and this has zero chance of burning down my house, I'm ready to buy and try it out paired with a UPS electronics, to get a beefy battery backup for all my house main network closet..

Lot of discussion in a prior thread for same products.

I have not properly measured its capacity yet but it can runs 160W output for at least several hours before I fully charged it up. When I charged it with a 4A charger, the display stuck at 95% (somewhere between 95 and 100%) with 13.6V.
