I have 2 100ah and one 50ah batteries. After one year of consistent use, the 50ah tested at 19ah. After charging over the weekend, it tested to 30ah. The last time I tested one of my 100ah, it tested to 98ah. I wouldn't exp to get 3000 cycles out of one.

If you want to see the quality inside this battery, watch this video. Yeah it's vertical and that sucks but at least it's mostly informative. I decided to spend my money on another brand.

I wish CE implied safety compliance (similar to UL / ETL / TUV ) but I don't think it is. It's just self-declared EU health etc. statement. You see this on literally every chinese product on Amazon also.

Since the BMS has over-current protection, it makes sense that it is short-circuit safe.. The earlier post about not being short-circuit protected isn't true (assuming the BMS doesn't fail).

So, what's the take on safety of this unit, one review on Amazon showed it burnt. On a boat, but not sure that's relevant. Otherwise cursory youtube reviews seemed good.

If safety is a non-issue and this has zero chance of burning down my house, I'm ready to buy and try it out paired with a UPS electronics, to get a beefy battery backup for all my house main network closet..

Lot of discussion in a prior thread for same products.
The problem with this review is. He didn't give any details on the application he had it installed in. What kinda amps was he drawing? What kinda inverter was it connected to, was it attached to solar, did it have a solar controller and what kind was it, did he have it ran with other batteries in series or paralleled and or did he have it connected with too small a guage wire. Like where's the details?

This battery doesn't even have short circuit protection, good as a fire starter
Feels like one should only keep these things in a giant box of sand lol

How important is UL listing on these (BMS especially)? It will be in the house in a closet 24/7 , so safety is pretty important.
Absolutely! Use indoors and even a remote chance it will start a fire isn't good! I don't leave any lithium ion batteries charging while I'm away from home, not worth the risk.
A few stores in my shop, but it's a metal building a far enough from my home to be safe.

The review person did say he had 12 units and only 1 caught fire.. so some context. Also, the BMS is supposed to take care of any bad use in regards to high current draw, temperature and whatever else, right? That's the concerning part. How would you answer/analyze that?

Have you tested if this one has the full 100ah cap it indicating? (or at least close to)
I have one. I charge it off peak and run my window A/C with a 2000W inverter. Numbers seem about right though I haven't done a full analysis. It easily provides 4C+ for short periods but most of the time I'm drawing ~120W.

He didn't specify if 12 units were connected together. To me it sounds like he has a fleet of boats with electric trolling motors. Theres other conditions. Could be water getting in. Corrosion. Faulty connections. Again I take reviews like this with a giant grain of salt when there's a no details about how it was used. I just know people have a tendency to not follow directions and they have a bad experience and blame the product when the reality was it was being used out of the confines of the rules.

There's not enough context to draw ANY useable conclusion from that review.

Well lifepo4 is lithium iron phosphate battery. It technically is lithium ion, except the difference is, some of the ingredients of the anodes and cathodes are different. Lifepo4 batteries handle recharge cycles significantly better than traditional lithium ion, for example, the battery in your smart phone. And they are a lot safer.
