If you're coming from a place of a blade grinder then this will do much better at having a more consistent grind. Definitely not as consistent as the more expensive ones.
I've seen the Oxo go on sale for as low as $45, generally it's around 60-75 though on sale.
I doubt that you will hate the coffee if you're using a good coffee maker and grinding your beans with this grinder. Good water, good coffee, a decent grind, and a decent way to brew will result in a good cup of coffee - that's once you've dialed in grind size and ratio of coffee to water and water temp and all that jazz.
In my opinion, something like a chemex or aeropress with a burr grinder, good coffee, and a kettle that you can set to a desired temp will get you a cup of good coffee that may cost you $100-$150 in set up.
If you're looking to get into an intro coffee game on a budget then I'd say try it out and see how you like it. Just make sure it's not the only piece of equipment you have and expect a mr coffee to brew it well for you.
