Really like the first one I got from the last deal. Going to replace some older style Rubbermaid with this one.
They sit on their side just fine. Made in the USA!

It's about the fact that chemicals leech out of plastic over a certain temp, and boiling water is definitely above that threshold.
As is dishwasher cleaning.
I loved this thing, but stopped using it for that reason, and bought a glass one instead.
