i have the hardside rockland carry-on and the hardside 28" and have used and checked multiple times with no issues.

OK but at this price they are almost disposable if you don't need them for return and just check them in once.

The allowed sized for Carry-on is 21" max and Check-in 30/32" max
These sizes are smaller than required sizes and are not so convenient to use, though almost half the price if we buy them individually.

Who buys brand new luggage with the intention of not bringing it on the return flight... if for whatever reason you actually need to do this get secondhand luggage from goodwill or something

I wonder if goodwill luggage would be around $24 a piece.

ABS material will crack at some point. consider this if you have short term ownership goals.
