Bought this a while back due to immediate need and one of the cable did not work out of the box . Reached out to Anker and they promptly replaced with an equivalent cable.

It depends on how powerful your existing one is.
This one is 20W max (USB-C port, USB-A is less).
If your existing charger is less powerful (which is unlikely), then, the answer is: yes, this one will charge your phone faster.
If your existing charger can produce more juice (say, 30W), then the answer is: no, your existing charger is better.
It definitely cannot "fast charge" (or whatever people are b..ing about) Samsung phone.

As an Android person who recently got an iPad, I was trying to find a replacement charger that charged fast, and this was it. Even if your type c charger charges your Android fast, it won't work on an iPad, apparently. More reasons to stay on the Android side, at least phone wise 🤣

It makes me feel better that others have this issue. Every time we go anywhere and come home it's like dad I can't find my charger. And my wife is just as bad, using some old 1a brick from 2010, wondering why nothing is charging.

These are absolutely awful. Tested them with Ampere app and even when used alone the USB A port barely outputs 5W. Together with USB C it's even worse. This is probably a defective product batch or something. Hence the lower price.
