This is a very tempting price but the few reviews available on their website make me think it may not last more than a year or so. Two of the seven reviews mentioned failing circulation pumps 😕

We bought this last time it was a FP deal from buydig, same price. Anyway, this thing is AWESOME. I have it hooked to an reverse osmosis water filter sytem and it makes clear ice FAST. When the bin is full, in about 6 hours, you will have enough to fill a 5 gallon bucket. To achieve the 99lbs a day you would have to remove ice regularly from the bin as it stops when the bin is full.

Keep in mind the bin for the completed ice is not refrigerated. It will just sit there and melt. The icemaker will continue making ice until it reaches the top then it stops. However, this also means it requires a drain as it is constantly draining, melted ice from the storage bin.

At 280 bucks, i think this will pay for itself in a few summers!

I yave been running this s continuously for about 3 months with no issues. Power is of no concern as I have extensive solar power generation system but it basically uses what any small refrigerator would consume.

No clue why I'm so tempted to buy this, we have 2 full size fridges with ice makers and two of the counter top versions. Just feels like we go through so much ice in the summer Frown

Must.. not... buy....

It's tempting, but I'm not sure if I have a use for it. Does anyone know if there are currently any good deals on opening up a Holiday Inn?

I understand the direct water line feed, if I wasn't going to go that route b/c it's far from a water line in my garage...can I add water to it from a few pitchers? TYIA Smilie)
