I hope they've changed the soft-touch "rubber" formulation for the scroll wheel since the hundred or so of this model that we purchased in 2016 that all began releasing a sticky, gooey residue after two years (other brands and models of mice were unaffected).
If you use this sparingly then, it's good to have it as a backup.
If you use this daily and you are expecting some performance out of it, I really don't see the appeal. Life is short, make it enjoyable in all aspects!
