It may be a classic game but cod 4 has no business being 10 as a sale price. It's so old that I still have my own cd rom for it.

Titanfall 2 is a modern classic that actually still has multi-player going on, and it regularly drops to $3, and there's a ton of other high quality classic games (master chief collection) with tons of content that drop to much lower prices.

Should I get this "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007)" or pay the extra $10 and get "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2017)"?

Agreed, it is absurd especially considering that the console physical versions of many of these older COD games can (almost) be bought by the pound and Gamestop will load them into your car via a shovel. That is if they aren't using them as a door stop or packing material for shipments. Not sure why the PC versions are still priced so high. You'd think the market would have dried up slightly for digital only as well.

Note: Not saying anything negative about the games themselves.

I was feeling nostalgic for 2009 mw2 recently and bought it on steam. This really comes from a different era of PC gaming. Rumor is that the online is not secure - could be exposed to malware playing online. This game also does not have intuitive controller integration - it predates windows having native Xbox controller support by a few years.

Unless you played these games on PC back in the day, I would wait for a mw2 classic re-release.

These games have been going on sale at these prices about 10x a year for at least 5 years now. The prices are pretty outrageous IMO.. WaW for $15, CoD4, Black Ops for $20??

These jacked-up prices show the corporate greed of Activision in an attempt to take advantage of PC gamers. They know they can't make much money off their console gamers anymore with their outdated games...

The older games have vulnerabilities that allow remote execution on your computer. You shouldn't purchase them and if you do you should get a mod to protect you from the vulnerability.

Modding would probably get you banned.

That's facts. Activision has always kept the prices of their COD games arbitrarily high, regardless how long ago they released.
