I just got off of a chat with Google Support and the previous Nest Learning Gens 1-3 can't do this but the new 4th Gen can do Temp. hold and disable schedule. I'm glad you brought this up because I never knew that the previous Gens couldn't do this. This will be the 1st Nest Thermostat that I'll own. Apparently just the Nest Thermostat previously($129) had the hold option.

They can all hold temp.

Note: The hold temperature feature is not available for The Nest Thermostat E or Nest Learning Thermostat.

Supposedly they can't besides the new one and this $129 one.
