I have used it for 10 years and no problems. I would say that the only issue is that when you first start up your computer it will use up more resources for about the first 2-5 minutes. Also, it might be too protective on some sites, but you can easily change the settings for those sites.

I find it helpful to configure windows to delay the startup of non network/security/etc items.
