Unfortunately it kept crashing itself due to the thermal sensor reading "unsafely high temperatures", especially when plugged into the charger. Dell diagnostics ran fine, I contacted support, and after some effort learned I had a 100 day warranty on the refurb.
Currently waiting to hear a replacement has been sent my way as I still need the thing, I've already sent back my original unit. Whole process has delayed me getting a functional laptop by a few weeks already. Just fyi to anyone considering riding the Dell refurb train. Call "Dell Financial Services"/"Dell Refurbished" to initiate a claim. Live chat on their site was for new products and said mine was out of warranty.
*Update: Dell received my return, and apparently had no replacement units, so they just refunded me. Probably not going to bother rolling the dice again.
These are generally good machines, and the are quite generous with their replacement policy. If you call and they don't have the same one in stock, if you ask nicely they often will give you a similar machine with as-good, or better specs.

I don't know how much the Iris Xe graphics affects most users. It'll run Windows fine. No experience with the Linux driver, but one looks to exist.
I don't understand laptops bigger than this, but 14" is reasonable enough, especially in a unit that's not an ultraportable and that has socketed RAM, etc.
Xe graphics has been a problem for Linux. A driver that exists might be fine or it might be crap. Until the driver is included with the kernel and "just works", I'd rather avoid it. Sometimes avoiding certain, poorly supported, hardware is the easiest way for a good experience. For example, I don't use Realtek wired ethernet in any of my systems. It just isn't worth the hassle for my needs.
If you like 14inch great. I've used 10, 11, 13, 15 inch laptops and found the sweet size in a laptop that I prefer is 13inch with 1080p screen. Others are welcome to their preference. A few friend insist on 17inch laptops, which makes no sense to me at all. They aren't lugging a laptop on a 14K mile trip each way 10+x a year either. They are driving to a lake house every quarter for a week and really just don't want to have 2 desktop computers, 1 for home and 1 for the lake house, which would probably be faster and definitely cheaper especially if you upgrade it a few times rather than buying all new.
Everyone has different desires. They also have different pain-points and skills.
5320 is also not upgradable.
only 5420 or lower end models seem to be upgradable.
they really think making them not upgradable makes them premium when its actually the opposite.
I would have liked the 5320 to be upgradable unfortunate
7320 upgradable would have also been nice.
this means if even one ram chip dies the whole mother board would need to be tossed because it costs more to repair solder the machine than it is worth.
unless of course you want to do it yourself and have skills + tools then could make it worth while to do it.
I'm going to sit this one out until black friday to check things out. I dont need it that badly yet just an upgrade would be nice and the chip shortage was is fake and over.
they just trolled us to steal it was all crypto mining in reality as we said it was.
there should be much better deals this year with the recession depression they finally admit to.

I didnt even send any pictures, just said Id like a better condition or a refund. Try to "scare" them about getting a refund. It usually works as they dont want the product returned to them.
I have had mine 14-15 months. Very happy with it. It looked like brand new out of the box. No signs of wear at all. When I bought it I figured a 3 year life but I have seen nothing to think it won't go 4-5 years.
Mine is a 13.3 16gb touchscreen. Not the latest processor but plenty fast for me. Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 2-In-1, 1x Intel Core i5 Quad (i5-8350U) 1.70 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, No Optical, Intel Integrated Graphics, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 Professional
I paid $197.40 for it. Plus tax. I think it was 40% off. They charged me 4% too much in tax but it was useless arguing with them. Dell does NOT have a store in my county. I did get about that much back from a cb site.
I was in a hurry as my old laptop died. Otherwise I might have waited for a 14 or even 15.6. I don't travel. But the smaller one is easier to maneuver the way I use it. (In an easy chair using my desk drawer to hold it in place)
The larger ones cost more and often don't have touchscreen which I am used to so I don't want to do without.
Plus, I did not have to learn the new windows. I can put it off for however much longer. Free upgrade is waiting for me when I have to.
Mine is a 2 in 1 but I have only used it as a laptop. If you don't need touchscreen you can probably get a slightly better deal.
Who expects FedEx ground shipments in less than 2 days? I didn't.
FedEx is on my you-suck list. How hard is ringing a doorbell twice? Would have saved them multiple delivery attempts. What a waste and now I get to wait until Monday for their re-delivery attempt.
Got one notice from Dell that it was shipped ground ... but not track-able at the time. No estimated delivery date. I happened to check the Dell Tracking site around 9am this morning. Otherwise, I never would have known there was a "Sorry we missed you" posted on the house door. FedEx, you suck.
Ok, that isn't really fair. Everyone at FedEx seems to have done a great job. Just the last 50 ft is where they suck.

Sigh. I watched and listened for the FedEx truck (windows open though it is very hot outside already!). Finally got to the door just as she was reading my note to ring the doorbell (someone is always home). She did ring the doorbell and I answered pretty fast, all things considered.
The laptop is nearly perfect. Saw only 3 extremely slight blemishes that a wet finger easily removed. The back is perfect too. I wonder if anyone actually used the laptop before. Seems like it may have sat on a shelf in a corporate IT closet for an emergency swap that never happened.
I'll learn more when I boot a Linux from USB and look at the hardware in more detail. Seeing the hours used for the NVMe storage will answer many questions and determine if I replace that storage to avoid issues. I do have backup religion, so I haven't lost any data in over 20 yrs even with storage failures happening about once a year across all the storage here.

For those that bought, how is it working for you? I am torn between getting this laptop or waiting for something new to drop at a great price.

I'll exchange it.
