It will be lighter at 63lbs verses 80lbs for the Daytona. Lifting range would be slightly better on the Daytona at ~1/2 inch lower minimum height and 3/4" higher max height. And stability for heavier loads (think 3/4 ton trucks and big SUVs) will be better on the Daytona.

This aluminum jack would be greater for medium duty applications where portability is desired.

Previous low for this jack was $185 back in 2021. https://hfpricetracker.com/tools/64544

Also of note, I don't have either of the jacks currently being discussed, though I have READ, the aluminum jacks and some of the other "quick pump" style jacks have pretty small wheels and have been less than ideal for folks working on less than nearly perfectly flat (surfaces (I.e. concrete shop floors vs worn driveways and rutted garage floors (like mine), which is why this particular info feels relevant to me.

Just a heads-up to make note of as people consider the various jack styles.

Hope this helps. 🤷 ā™‚ļø

I think the main difference is that that one is steel and this one is aluminum.

This is a good deal for small to medium size cars. Anything bigger than say maybe a Camry I would go with the regular non aluminum jacks.

The 1.5 ton is basically only useful for sedans and smaller SUV's, it didnt feel stable lifting an equinox 4 cylinder. This one went for 60-70 a few years ago.
This 3 ton should be equivalent to the steel 3 ton, except lighter. I cant recall these going on sale often, so if you want the aluminum its not a bad deal. Arcan aluminum jacks go on sale frequently for a similar price point.

I think you are confusing this with the 1.5 ton jack. This is a 6000lb jack so it would be fine for just about any non-commercial vehicle. FWIW, I've had the HF aluminum 1.5 ton jack for over a decade and used it for all routine maintenance on many cars and large SUVs.

I own a 3 ton arcan aluminum jack stand that is very similar to subject matter, i woulnt be surprised if they came out the same factory and rebranded. My driveway is hard gravel, I lug it around easily. By I guess it's subjective. I also have a 4 ton Daytona, that phucker is heavy, the wheels get stuck in the cracks, and it take some lifting to get the wheels out of the cracks. Needless to say my 3 ton aluminum are my go to jacks..

Is the regular going on sale next week? I would rather have that one. I have an aluminum and it seems to flex a bit pickup up a vehicle and makes me nervous
