Another issue is with Runningwarehouse. They recently invalidated the 10% Off club discounts for some organizations. I'm never ordering from RW after that policy change. Their prices are nothing special and even this "deal" is $20 more than what Sierra has sold the SCEv3 on several occasions over the past 18 months.

Anyway, that's why I got the this model in 12 fits perfect for me even tho mostly I'm 11.5. So picked up another 2 pairs. Agree, not a super shoe but the Fuel cell midsole better than most does have plates basically a super training shoe. Lock down is so so, surprised the drop is 4 but I guess I was thinking it be in line more with trainer and rebel. Hard pick the pace way up. My route sucks like 800 total ft ascension over 5 miles and last 2 miles 300 ft before I turn around. I used them yesterday and was able keep a solid 730 pace but my cadence hovered high 170s they kind of clunky but worth it for training.

RW was good with returns prior to the pandemic. But I noticed that refunds started to take longer to receive starting in 2021. In 2022 I had to call customer service to find out why a return was taking so long to process. RW just doesn't seem as focused on customer satisfaction as they used to be many years ago.
Case in point. In 2018, I misplaced and lost the insoles for a pair of HOKA shoes that I purchased from RW in 2017. I reached out to RW via email and the rep replied back that RW would send me a complimentary set of HOKA insoles. A few days later I got a small box with about three pairs of HOKA insoles. I was surprised and grateful. Nowadays, RW will not offer this high level of customer service. They're now just like any other retailer. That's why I just shop on price now and have no loyalty to RW or any other retailer.
Hopefully, the SCEv3 works out for you. I read that upper is the main issue with that shoe. That's mainly why I have avoided it. The collar on the SC Trainer v1 seems to be better designed but still it took some time to break in.
